Ednamae Houston

Ednamae Houston, age 88, of North Canton, passed away Thursday evening in Aultman Hospital after a short illness. Born in Kenmore, Ohio to the late Carl and Emma Pearl (Gindlesberger) Pyers. Mrs. Houston graduated from Kenmore High School and Massillon School of Nursing. She was an avid golfer, gardener, bowler, enjoyed traveling and playing bridge. Mrs. Houston was an active member and part of the choir at Community Christian Church and a member of Brookside Country Club for 30 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lindell Lee Houston in 1995. Mrs. Houston is survived by daughters; Mrs. Ronald (Linda) Tvorik of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Rodney (Cynthia) Crile of Noblesville, Indiana, sons; Roger (Sheila) Houston of Houston, Texas and Michael (Judy) Houston of North Canton, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Community Christian Church with Pastor Barbara Winke officiating. A private interment will be held for the family in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 4815 Munson St. NW Canton, Ohio 44709.
